Why the Rules Just Changed
NAAC's accreditation system shifted in 2025 from the familiar CGPA-based grading, from A++ down to C, to a Binary Accreditation model.
Institutions are now rated Accredited or Not Accredited, based on objective, evidence-backed compliance rather than subjective peer scoring.
Beyond binary accreditation, institutions can pursue Maturity-Based Graded Levels (MBGL), a five-level progression from basic compliance to institutions of global excellence in multidisciplinary research and education.
